There are other mountain ranges and waterways throughout the realm aswell.

Magic flows in a sphere around the bulk of the landmass, and as long as the player is in that sphere, their mana will slowly fill. Once they are outside that sphere, their mana will not refill. They can however use any man they have stored to try and do things.
Bedrock is impervious to magic. Even a bedrock mountain inside the magic sphere cannot be altered with magic.

Most quests involving Elves will have to do with magic, magical creatures, or the players magical skill.
Elven towns are protected by a magical barrier, therefore the player cannot break, mine, or steal anything inside the barrier. The barrier is a cylinder from the bottom of the world to the top. A player cannot build a bridege over or dig a tunnel under the Elves protection.
